K-Dramas:
- Something about 1% = First drama I watched. Not that good really, plus, you really long for the end when you passed the 10th episode. You can still watch, but only because of Kang Dong-Won. 3/10
- Gumiho = Awesome. It’s got Junjin from Shinwa and Kim Tae-Hee. ‘Course you have the classic love rectangle between the girl, the guy who likes her but she doesn’t, the guy she likes but has to kill who does like her, and the bitchy girl who likes the guy the guy who likes the girl who doesn’t like him. (Still following? uhu). But you also got the action, a little bit of blood and some liver stuff. Well, anyway, worth watching. 8/10
- Full House = When I watched, I had no idea who Rain (Bi) was, so I enjoyed it very much. The contract kind was new to me, so I though it was great and funny. But when you’re used to it…and well, when you get to see how dumb Pinky really is…You might not enjoy it as much. Anyway, I give it a 7/10.
- Goong = I wanted to see it so badly I bought it from YesAsia. Horrible mistake. The subtitles were crappy and Yun Eun Hye’s annoying voice when she says the guy’s name still gives me headaches. You can still watch for Joo Ji Hoon and his amazing kissing skills, or not. 6/10
- Taste Sweet Love/ Snow White = Loved it! Mostly because of Lee Wan and the other guy (can’t recall his name), and I ALWAYS had a thing for the ugly gril who becomes a swan. However, the older woman who doesn’t think the younger guy really likes her because, well, she’s old, might kinda annoy you on the end. 9/10
- Jumong = And there I was thinking “historical dramas must be boring, why am I even downloading it?”. Sooo not true. This is the best drama ever with action, romance, whatever you want, good guys bad guys, old guys, and funny dresses. If you haven’t yet, you HAVE TO watch it. 10/10
- Dal Ja’s Spring = There again, the older woman/younger man stuff, plus nice storyline and nice looking actors. It’s just nice. Not great, not bad. 6/10
- Let’s got to the beach! = I watched because of Lee Wan. Even though seeing him half naked as a lifeguard was great, It all seemed like a big reanactement of Bay Watch, boring as hell. And there’s no kiss (at the end, but you only see the feet of the ppl kissing) so, don’t bother. 4/10
- Time of Dog and Wolf = LEE JUN KI !!!! Truly amazing (except for the amnesia part), you have to watch. Really. Life altering. 10/10
- Bad Family = Well, there’s Hee-Chul. 5/10
- Sweet Spy = The ratings were low, Dennis O’s performance was said as awfull. I still liked it. 6/10
- Snow Queen = Awesome. Very sad though, you’ll cry at every episode. Sung Yuri’s performance was really good I thought, and well, there’s Hyun Bin, what do I need to say? 8/10
- Coffee Prince = Hahahaha, awesome. Just perfect. Beware of the stomach cramps however. Watch it while Gong Yoo is away for his military duties or whatever. 10/10
- 9 ends 2 outs = It was fun at first, new and fresh and full of good looking ppl. Then I was bored, and the baseball usual storyline doesn’t help. 6/10
- Rude Women = Now that, my friends, is worth watching. Awesomely fun. Just make sure your dentist doesn’t have a grudge against you. 9/10
- My Girl = LEE JUN KI !!!! (he does look like a girl in it, that’s sad). Totally fun and tearjerking at the same time. (my favorite scene? the X-Files part! haha, still laughing) . 8/10
- First King Four Gods = When it ended, I cried during four days ’cause I was so depressed I would not see… Cheoreo anymore. It really was magnificent, and if you don’t watch it, then, you’re missing on great stuff. 11/10
- Hong Gil Dong = Awesome comedy until episodes 12 or so. Then it becomes more like tragedy and ends with everyone dying except CH… I’d say 9/10 (and minus one is because of the end)
- Happiness = A 58 episode long drama about the lives of two families, one poor, the other super mega rich. Yeah, it seems crappy, but it really gets to you! And at least it’s realistic! It’s really a good drama. 7/10
- Iljimae = GAAAAAH. LJK!!!!! 9,5/10
- Lawyers of Korea = More about relationships than the work of a lawyer but still very funnny! 7/10
- Please Come Back Soon-Ae = The body exhange thing was new, so it’s rather refreshing and hilarious. You might also want to become a flight attendant. 9/10
- Tamna Island = Very funny, but took a turn for the tragedy thing. Very Hong Gil Dongish, but HGD was better. Still enjoyable 8/10
- Partners = I gave up halfway , it wasn’t horrible, I just got bored. 6/10
- Boys over Flowers = what can I say, Lee Min Ho. The plot was lacking but it’s one of those cult shows. 9/10
- Brilliant Legagy = Uh. 2/10
- New Heart = Crunchyroll withholded the last episodes from me. Grr. Great med show though. 8/10
- Lady Castle = Not bad! 7/10
- The Man Who Can’t Get Married = Finally an awesome comedy show that isn’t riddled with awful conspiracies and jealousy. WATCH IT ABSOLUTELY!!!! 11/10
- On Air = Get some insight as to how a drama is produced, good! 7/10
- Just Looking/That Fool = WATCH WATCH WATCH! 10/10
- Hateful but once again = Meh. 4/10

LOL.
I’m still in schock.(I have to admit I listen to If almost everyday, bad me.)
I have a lot of editing to do in this page, but I’m a big procrastinator.

Nice list! Have you seen Sweet 18? I heard that’s really good. I’m going to check that one and Coffee Prince out soon when I get a chance

I watched the first episode, and it didn’t really attract me. I thought I could live without the “next-episode-starving-syndrome”, and I did.
And Coffee Prince…Everybody love that one (I heart the waffle guy).
Tell me if you think Sweet 18 is really good, I’ll consider rewatching ep1 and watching ep2 and 3.

If you liked those you should watch Hong Gil Dong!! (only thinking about it cause i started watching a few days ago ;p)
the story’s a bit more complex than in your average drama and the characters are not too whiny, that’s what really ticks me off in most dramas
j’étais pas convaincue au premier episode mais si tu prends les anachronismes au second degré ça devient genial
…and of course, Gil Dong is HOT. XD

Damo | April 29, 2008 at 2:54 am
How about Damo amd Hong Gil Dong ? I do not like period drama prior to knowing Damo . My friend insisted that it is a cool one – he told me that I would never forget about this drama ,,,, hahaha ,he was so right so since then I began to give historical drama a chance as I love Damo too much .
12.
flyingcrispi | April 30, 2008 at 9:27 pm
I did not watch Damo, and for some odd reason, it did not appeal to me. Maybe because I watched the movie ‘Duelist’ right before…

This website rocks! I love this song after watching HONG GIL DONG episode #7! I am addicted to Korean dramas and agree JUMONG rocked! *sigh I am working and living the USA. Thank goodness for fans and english subs! Good work with this website !

Funkster316 | May 16, 2008 at 4:34 pm
I loved JUMONG! Song Il Gook—-yeah! I loved Dae Jang Geum it is slower but the good acting and cooking scenes had me salivating for more! I liked WHITE TOWER about the doctors and their internal fights. (Not much romance in that one). Rooftop Cat is funny with Jung Da Bin (Sadly passed away) and Kim Rae Won in this comedic drama. My fave fave I have watched five times is My Name is Kim Sam Soon! (I have all the OST, the stuffed piggy and the DVD drama series too!) I agree COFFEE PRINCE rocked-I watched that three times!

Thank you so very much for the nice things you said. I did watch a few episodes of Rooftop Cat, but it didn’t really hooked me up…

I’m not a big fan of Korean dramas but I have seen a few.
I wonder if you watched Lovers in Paris and what you thought about it as a French person. -JD

Hi again flyingcripi.
After looking up some info about that drama, it seems it’s also known under other names (My Sweetheart in Paris and Romance in Paris)
I get 99% of my drama from d-addicts.com so if you don’t already know about it, go check it out!
(For Lovers in Paris it’s precisely http://d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_55532.htm)
Thanks so much for the drama review links, I always enjoy recommendations.
(oh by the by, je suis francais mais j’habite aux States.

Did you get to watch Last Friends? I think it’s a fantastic show. Hehe~
I’m currently trying to find Camouflage, which doesn’t seem to download… and Osen – both these series are kinda behind on subs though… le sigh.
21.
flyingcrispi | June 16, 2008 at 12:49 pm
Ohhhhhh! I’m watching Osen as I’m typing! As far as I know, 3 episodes have been subbed by Nya fansub. They’re hardsubbed on Veoh, so you can watch them streaming with VeohTV. I don’t have a clue what Camouflage is about, so I’ll look into it.
And yes, I’m watching last friends! I’m currently waiting to download the 10th ep.
22.
Amy | June 17, 2008 at 11:53 pm
I just watched episode 4 of Osen! I’m not particularly fond of the male lead, but Yu Aoi and cooking make the show!
I saw two eps of Camouflage, and they are bizarre! But good! I like the weirdness of it.

I just started watching sweet 18 because of a recommendation, I saw ep 1 and so far..it’s alright..my next step will be Coffee Prince, it seems like everyone likes it.

flyingcrispi | October 3, 2008 at 6:29 pm
Imo, Coffee Prince is a bit overrated, but it’s a nice drama! (I’m surprised you haven’t watched it yet).
Have fun!

very cool website! I just finished Hong Gil dong and I think the ending was very approriate….Although we’d all wish there was an alternative in life…
sung yu ri’s performance is amazing (if anyone watched how she was in the snow queen, you’ll appreciate her acting in HGD even more).
Keep up the great work!

If you have a romantic soul you must watch korean drama “Kingdom Of he Winds”, and korean movie “Musa (The Warrior)”…as for kingdom of the winds i am not willing to watch the last 2 episodes…i kinda dont like the idea to part from it just yet…as for musa, it is simply brilliant…
39.
flyingcrispi | October 1, 2009 at 5:05 pm
I watched Musa a while ago.
I didn’t like Kingdom of the Winds though, I kept comparing it to Tae Wang Sa Shin Gi and TWSSG will always be the #1 in my heart.
40.
fuad | October 1, 2009 at 5:12 pm
Well I gues if I watch Tae Wang Sa Shin Gi I will probably say the same thing as you about kingdom of the winds…for me Kingdom Of he Winds will always be the #3 in my heart ’cause 1st is taken and 2nd I’m waiting to be taken so…
